Broke Out Of The Big Fish Slump
i had a slump going for the entire season! not catching a 5+lbser yet this year! last year i killed and this year im sucking! first to worst! like the sox
so i decided to hit a pond ive never been to! ive been wanting to fish it for years! never found the access!
so i had to park on a side street and drag the kayak to a little hole in the trees!! very hard limited access! AWESOME!!!!!!!!
i had a chater bait on and weedless rig worm! the pond is SUPER SHALLOW!!!!! but not a ton of weeds and nice hard bottom with stained water!!!
got a couple small bass on shoreline trees! like really small bass!
i paddle out towards the middle! water got to 6 feet deep! i picked off a couple 1-1.5 lbsers!
i make a cast out to the stump in the middle! BAM. nice chunky 1.5-2lbsber! take a pic cuz i thought this might be the biggest of the day!
take another cast to the same stump! BAM!!!! HUGE BASS!!!!!!!!! fought it! screaming like a little kid!! SO PUMPED!!!!!
netted it! 5.14lbser!!!! SWEET!!!
i send the picture to my buddy! he wants to come! so he joins me in his yak!
first cast on the frog BAM!!! 3.14lbser! one of the bigest bass hes ever caught!!!
we picked off more small bass up to 1lbs! they were loving the wacky rigs! fished the entire pond!
sun sets! i start nailing fish on the black blue chatter bait! land a chuncky 2.5lbser missed a couple decent bass to!!!!
