MA Fish Finder Tournaments |

Here we go! The season is right around the corner folks. With the help of Justin a.k.a Smoke City we have scheduled Ten Tournaments this season. Please make sure you look ahead to see if you can make any of these ahead of time. And if you have to cancel, please try to give me enough time so I can fill the slot. We are having a 15 boat limit to the tournaments, only because I want these to remain fun and not turn into too much of a club like thing.
Simple fun that’s it...
Below is the list of events that I already have permits for and are ready to go.
Also please make sure you read the rules and regs of these events. I’ll be fishing, not worrying about you.
You can message me to put your team in. I will post via message board when the dates are full. Remember I expect to have a great time and a lot of fun, we had a blast last season with these and I look forward to doing the same. (As long as the Landlord saves us some fish, lol).

MA Fish Finder Tournament Rules:
1. No live bait!!!!! No shiners or Night Crawlers Etc......
2. Must have working aerator in a cooler or a live well.
3. They sell a bubble box at Wal-Mart or bass pro for $10 and they work well for the day
4. Must have valid fishing license and registered boat!!!
5. Arrival Time 6 to 630am for Entry fee collection and Live well Inspection
6. must beat the land lord, lol
7. Start Time For Tournaments are 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
8. Official weigh in right after we get back at 1pm at chosen location on water
9. $25 dollar entry fee per person $50 a team
10. Parking Fee "If Any" will be stated on tournament date paid by you!!
11. 5 bass limit (12" or bigger to qualify as a keeper)
12. Cash Prizes awarded after pictures and weigh ins
13. Format for Pictures: each team takes turns pulling up to the weighing boat Hold lunker in front of you for pics then weigh in
14. 1st = $350, 2nd = $200, 3rd = $100 and Lunker = $100 (Based on 15 Teams x $50 = $750)
15. Be Honest We Are having fun Fishing!!!!!!!!
16. Watch for postings on Maps and Boat launch locations for Tournament Dates ( mass.gov has pond maps also and boat launches)

Circle Hooks for Bass
I have been using Owner Tournament MTU light non-offset circle hooks for wacky rigging. These are light wire and very sharp. If you want to try them I find size 2 is the best...

Crank Baits
I use the smaller cranks like -1's during the cooler water months. Staying with shallow baits I also like a j9 and shallow rap color based on water clarity for sluggish fish. ...

try some pike lures?
I would recommend casting spoons in the 3/4 to 5/8 oz range.
Size 5 in-line spinners. I would recommend replacing the trebles with single hooks because Pikes tend to swall...

- Map Enhancements - Completely reworked the Map tab on the site. New drop down menus for the map, a location list, cleaner popups, marker management, and various performance improvements.
- Trip Wizard - Added a Trip Wizard to make it easier to create trips! Now you can create a trip in 3 simple steps. Also, you can now define other Fish Finder users who attended the trip with you. Make them contributers so they can add photos, hotspots, and details that you might have missed.
- Encryption - We have added RSA encryption to all login and sign up forms. It adds a couple seconds to logins, but we feel you will appreciate the extra level of security!
