I can't help you with trout, but I fished Webster last week and did pretty well with 4 LMB and 1 SMB to the boat and losing a couple of each. It's a BIG water, so bring lunch.

Blue Hills Reservoir in Quincy is a good pick, on Chickatawbut Road. Easiest access is from Granite Street in Braintree. I caught a 4 pound 11 ounce large mouth there in April 2016.

I’ve fished Hedges in Plymouth and Hinckley’s in Harwich in Jan & Feb this year.

SMB are active where I’ve logged surface temps at 40.x or above ...

Everything I drove by yesterday on the South Shore was open. I'm headed to Hedges Pond with a friend's son today to get him some SMB.
