I'm heading to Lake George soon and would like to try to catch a Lake Trout or Landlocked Salmon from the Kayak.

I fish mostly for Bass and that's primarily what my rods/reels are for. C ...

spool one up with 50 lb braid and the other with 25lb mono.

Do you find there is a difference between the 2 line choices? Do you use one over the other for difference scenarios?

Interesting that you guys allow teams for these tourneys. Seems like a bit of an advantage and cost savings for the teams.

Might be cool to have a team kayak tourney in the future that pairs every ...

I use a 3 ft piece of PVC with a Solar Stake Light ( walkway lights)stuck into the end and I put it in a rodholder on the milk crate behind me on my kayak.

That thing is beautiful. I've been considering something like that so I can take my kids fishing.

FYI, I bought a cheap 12v off of amazon for $15, threw it in a tupperware container and wired it up.

So the battery can be had for cheap $ if needed.
