A buddy of mine invited me to the Cape Friday for some deep water smallies. We got 31 of them in water depths from 40' all the way down to 72'. Thats not a typo. I got a 2lb smallie in 72' of water on a sliver buddy. My previous deepest smallie was this summer at the Quabbin in 50' of water. Along with the silver buddy, the carolina rig and the drop shot caught fish. Here is a pic of my friend who is 6'2" holding his 4+lb smallie. |
