I know this fish was caught last fall, but I just now found this thread. And I have to nominate my brother,
his first 5 pound Larry!
Oct. 10, 2010 at Fellsmere Pond, Malden MA. On a white Bitsy Bug if I'm correct.

| Wow! Really nice fish! Earlier this year, a friend dropped one in the 8-9 lb range at the Canton Reservoir! Have been trying to catch him with no luck! |

I am surprised I never put my bass on here..I put a couple of carp but ...anyway this was back in August 2010 on the fly rod fishing hybrid bug patterns colored like sunfish over deep fall sunny beds and banged into this great bass in Lake Wildwood. Never got a weight on it but it was fat, long and fun...Pictures are horrible as it was a raining mucy day and I was alone, only had my cell with me no camera etc..

Nice Farm pond largemough I caught and released last winter.
This was a 45"-35+ pound striper that I should have got weighed for my wife. It would have most likely been a pin fish.
This is by far the largest striper I have ever caught. 46.5" and probably pushing 40 pounds. I tagged and released it. The tag is the yellow string in it's back.
This bluefin tuna was at least 200 pounds heavier than the 500 pound minimum weight for a bluefin. We did not enter it as state pin but rather sold the fish.
This blue shark probably would have surpassed the 300 pound minimum pin weight but it was released.
I just saw that this was for freshwater only. I can edit or the moderator can, which ever is easier. |
