I'm new to ice fishing and live in the merrimack Valley area. Just wondering what lakes are good for ice fishing. Looking to catch anything.

Any info would be great, thanks!

If you see a pond/lake that has holes drilled in it then it probably has fish! Safe ice is the main priority right now. I wouldn't go out unless I have evidence of other people being out on the ice! Idea

I hear great things about spy pond in terms of pike, muskie, bass, ect. I've been shore fishing there 5 times now and haven't caught a thing. Quabog pond and lake lashway in Brookfield is usually pretty good from what I understand as well. Problem right now is ice thickness. I fished Spy Pond again today and there was a thin layer over the eastern part about 50% or it's area.
