Due to the scouting efforts of purpleturkey and brownie, it looks like we are likely to have have access issues at Canton Res. so I'm moving things across town to Ponkapoag. Sorry to those who wanted to fish Canton Res. I'm disappointed too but this seems like the right thing to do at this point. We'll get another crack at Ponky after the beatdown she handed out in April. At least we won't need to wear gloves this time!

Date: Saturday, August 8
Location: Ponkapoag in Canton, MA
map http://goo.gl/maps/41zgF
Arrival: 6:00AM
Launch:6:30 AM
Weigh-in: 12 noon
Entry fee: $20
Payout: $120 first place, $60 second place, $20 third place, $20 lunker bass (assuming 12 participants)

On a separate note, after a recent 5 day hospital stay, I may need to have a surgery or 2 over the coming month or 2 so it's possible I may need to bail on this tourney. If so, I'll post and I know purpleturkey and others can handle things on the tourney site.

Count me and my pops in! =)

Sorry to hear about your hospital stay, Tom. A five-day stay sounds serious. Hope everything works out.

Anyone who hasnt been to Ppoag if you have wheels or a cart for your yak you're gonna want to bring them. The walk down to the pond isn't bad but the walk back up at the end of the day isn't good. Nice Pond, shallow, very weedy lots of pads, hydrilla and thick mat, it can be a b**** if its windy bring an anchor.

I've been trying to talk myself out of this one all week. Can't seem to do it... Put me "IN"

Side note, I was wondering about foul hooked bass. Do we count them as good, or a non catch?

No rules on foul hooks.

What's wrong with canton res? I've fished there 3 times this summer and there's a great parking lot at 92 pleasant street.

I'm in regardless.

Sorry to hear Tom!

Yeah, I don't know. Guess it's better to play it safe?
