My logs really paid off this year. Used bait 0 times, all on plugs. Probably coming off a season of 1200+ stripers...

You're the ONLY person I know or have heard from (message boards included) that had a strong year with stripers. Congrats.

The overwhelming majority had such a bad year (myself included) that they are changing the regulations next year.

Comments here say there's a lot a a-holes out there killing them:

I've got a few friends coming off of a good season too.

Yrah, I've been following the new regs. I was hiping for 1@32, but 1 @ 28 is a start, for sure. Nobody needs more than one... For the past few years a lot of us have been into catch and release. Nothing wrong with keeping a smaller keeper for the table here and there but all the big ones should be sent on their way unless they are mortally wounded...

Documented a lot of my catches on my instagram... Kind of hung up the gear for this year, but am still toying with the idea of chasing them further south...
