Hello All,
Last summer I started back up with fishing since I was a kid. My son and I went to Quabbin gate 8 and trolled for Salmon and lakers. We did pretty well considering it was the first time using lead core and that was all we had - no riggers. It took about a week before we were fairly efficient and came home with something each time. We had a blast and wanted some advice for April at Quabbin. I figure the fish will be shallow, so will we need the lead core / riggers or just drift out in the middle / follow the shore and cast?
Much appreciated

| I usually target the smallies when I go there. Last April I caught a 5 lb laker in about 3 feet of water on a shiner. |
