After reading the message boards the past few weeks, I have been experimenting with new methods. This one happend to be the "Bubble Gum Worm Technique". Mega kudos to Tony93 for finding and sharing it on the message board. I went out to Hobart's pond, armed with my new supply of bubble gum floaters and landed this larry on the second cast. |

Met up with Jason(Carpmaster) and tried a couple of spots. We had no luck at the first spot, so we ended up here and it was slow going for awhile and then the sunnies started attacking, followed by some yellow perch and crappies. Overall, it was a productive trip. We landed about 10 sunnies, 4 yellow perch, and a crappie. |

Was out in San Diego and had the opportunity to do some pier fishing. I managed to snag this baby. It's a yellow-tailed croaker.
The weather out there was picture perfect, 70 + degree weather the whole time I was there and not a drop of rain. Now I know where our summer went. It went west...LOL
For anyone thinking of coming out here, I highly recommend this spot. It's the Crystal point pier and there's a cool bait shop(crystal point bait and tackle) where you can rent a pole, bait, bucket, and pliers for $6.00/hr, $10/2hrs, or the whole day for $15.

I stopped by here for the first time after work. I landed 3 good sized Yellow perch. I also saw a few trout near the shoreline.

Got out early this morning. It was overcast/cloudy. This was a trial and error run..Tried a whole range of lures from Rapela's to spoons and spinners.
I caught a nice sized pickerel with the spinner. |
