Farm Pond

Went to Farm Pond to do some kayak fishing with my brother from 8am to 11am. We each caught five fish, 4 black crappie, 1 bass, and 5 pickerel. Not a great day but it was ok for early season. We tried a variety of lures/softbaits but couldn't get more than the one bass on the line.

Comments

  • We caught the crappie in 4'-8' of water. It is a shallow pond, I think the deepest spot is 16' or so. I believe we caught two on a senko worm(blk w/ blue flake), one on a ring fry worm (pumpkin), and one on a football jig (blue).

  • How deep were the crappie? What were you catching them on?

  • Went there last yr early season and caught nothing but 22 pickerel between 2 of us missed one nice bass but early in the year seems so much pickerel in there they beat all the bass to the punch!

  • I appreciate it, I actually wasn't sure which it was. Thanks

  • Just to let you know thats a black crappie not a pumpkin seed dont mean to correct you just wanted to let you know
