floro leaders

I have a question on leaders.What lb test do you guys use?I was thinking of using 12 lb floro. I have power pro 50 lb on all my poles with 12 or 15 mono leaders.I was thinking of switching to floro. I love top water lures Zara Spooks are my go to but this spring I really liked jigging in clear water ponds and I was thinking floro would up my fish count.

Flouro leaders work great, but remember that the Flouro sinks like a rock. Straight to the bottom. I have 15lb Flouro on my rods and it works great in the wind, keeps things in place. It also like the weeds, goes right into them.

I use 20-25#braid attached to 20# flouro leader. 50 pound braid sounds like overkill to me, especially if you're only using 10-15 pound leader...

I had the 50 lbs left over from my surf rods and also iI got it dirt cheap at my local Dicks over the winter.I use it mostly with spooks and spro frogs.The ponds around me are full of weeds and structure and if they get hung up I can usually get them back.This spring I started fishing more clear water ponds and love it.I'm going to change a pole to your suggestion 20 braid and 20 floro and see what happens.I hope i can pull a lunker out of Glen Charlie this weekend.
