No kayak here, so it'll be thigh or hip waders for Long Pond. Mostly, I'm salt water but those trout have to get some hits

What have the trout been hitting at Long pond in Plymouth??

Don't know but I'll find out soon. I'm moving to Beaver Dam Road in a couple of weeks, maybe a mile or two from Long Pond and plan on hit ...

Happened to be up in Millis. The upper Charles is nearly 2 ft down and solid with dead lilies, green bloom and of course it reeks. The water surface is oily looking and barely moving.

current reports are lots of algae bloom up and down the Charles. I've seen it and it reeks. The advice is to not get it on your hands and to keep children and pregnant women far away from the stuff.

Lately Cow Pond and the area has turned up oil sheen along the shoreline. Either someone has been dumping or there is spill from somewhere nearby.

for me, a light action is fine bass or large trout rod. Ultralight is for panfish or small trout.

The Charles is weird, long and winding. Depths are all over the place. I fish the upper Charles mostly where it can go from 6' to 2' within yards.

Seems to me Charles Bass like the hug the shorelin ...
