Quinsig 5/7
Pre fished for club tourny next Sat. Tried different techniques and areas of lake as I have never done very well here, except for an occasional shopping cart or two. 5:30 -11:30 am, water temp 58-60, air temp52 -70 degrees with a light gusting breeze. Caught 10 bass, 5 keepers went about 8 1/2 lbs, 5 shorts. 2 big pics caught a 24 and a 20 incher. 3 bigger fish came on a Yum frog rigged with a 5/0 Gami hook in 1-2 ft depths where lilypads were emerging. Smaller fish came on senkos and 4" powerworms on outside edges and tight to shore. Lake is appearing to be overrun with rock bass ( useless fishegg sucking scavengers ). These fish are detrimental to any fishery. I recommend bringing a 5 gallon bucket to fill up and feed your garden with.
The rowing lanes are in place, tough to troll through that area.
Sounds like you had a pretty normal trip. You should do fine in your tourney. Are those stupid lanes still out?
