moose pond

my family is renting a cottage on moose pond In maine this june any thoughts on when would be best fishing, early in the month or late also has anyone fished there recently,any tips would be great.

Depends on what you are looking to do. With a normal spring the fish will still be on beds heavy in early June. If you do not want to fish for mostly spawning bass go as late in June as possible. Whenever I fish Maine I wait till July when the fish have settled into summer patterns and the weeds are well established.

I fished up there last summer with a great guide. The bite was very slow due to a heat wave but Hiedell knew where to find them. Great boat and equip too.
