Today's gonna help that along nicely, though it gets cooler again this week.

It will cool down a bit but the temps should be pretty steady which should help the bite!

Every pond is different. A lot of the bigger places are still in the mid 40's. Ridiculous for April 9. Fish are refusing to move in shallow Exclamation Laughing

Soon enough the temps will be more uniform, but there is always going to be some variation.

I was fishing in Auburn today...caught 7 Bass 1 Pickrel..
all in 4' or less of water on spinner baits...

Nothing over 2 lbs but it was good to hook up.

i've found shallow fish in all sorts of places - deep, shallow, clear, dirty. this was when the water was in the high 30s to the high 40s / low 50s.

I found fish at some stumps in 6-7 feet of water. Just off a drop off to spawning flat! 54 degrees.

Caught one fish on drop off 7 feet of water. Squarebill cranking over weeds!
Water was 53!

Has ice out come to the southern berkshires? I was up ten days ago and my favorite ponds were still both solid... anyone been out this week?
