Arrogance On The Water!

Napa and I had a half day to be on the water so we took full advantage and met up at 7:45 am near the launch. I was going into the day thinking that we would produce a sh*tload of bass throughout the trip. We were throwing 1/8 ounce jigs with chigger craw trailers, spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits. Napa led the way for most of the day as he hooked up with 3 bass in the first hour. The wind was acting peculiar so we shifted around a bit without any action except for some massive swans that acted hard for a brief period of time! We worked our way around the cock fight as well as an island before we started casting out towards the middle. My jig got the hit of the day as I set the SOB and began the tug of war. On the way in the big boy swam into a patch of floating grass which made the end of the battle a bit more challenging. Napa was spot on with the net when I got it close to the boat and the rest was history. We weighed her before the release and she came in at a chunky 4lbs 10 oz's. Great to catch up with Napa and enjoy a nice warm day off of work on the water.
