Dave was taken from us on Nov 13, 2008 from a rare infection and we take this Saturday in February to get together and remember the friend we lost. A day filled with food, prizes, drink, and oh yeah...fishing.
Prizes are given for bass, perch and pickerel by weigh and aw...esome raffle prizes including a brand new auger and much more. Free food all day for only $20 (kids under 10 are free). Registered sleds and ATV's ONLY allowed on the pond. This is an annual carp fishing, derby. It is an all ages friendly, grandparents weekend event. We typically award 6+ prizes in categories like largest fish, most fish, youngest/oldest to catch etc. Last year we had 45+ people catch 33+ carp, the largest being over 9 pounds.
Experienced anglers are on hand to teach and share their knowledge of rigs, baits, care, history and science of carp fishing. So come on out and enjoy a very social and fun day in a great park.
