Here are a couple of my first catches from Jan 2, 2016. Total catch 2 browns and 1 rainbow.

Thanks Paul. How is the Swift fishing these days? I don't think winter trout are too particular about the pattern. Just get something that looks like food in front of them and they'll eat. 😀

Yeah, I love this time of year, all the lightweights have packed it in leaving the excellent fishing to those who are serious about it.

Given the choice of Canton Res or Ponky, I'd choose Ponky every time. But there are definitely some nice fish in the Res too.

CatfishKid already mentioned them, but they work so well on everything that it bears repeating. Olive or black Wooly around size 6 (plus or minus a size or two) is a bass killer. I also love top water ...

I like to target pickerel when I can't catch bass. They love white spinnerbaits.

They pretty much like anything in white, including spinner baits.
