Yup ... braid can be useful ... e.g. no (!) stretch, so quick detection and hook-set ... but ... it also has its downsides. Doubt you'd tie braid directly to the lure ... so, a leader of some sort .. ...

I fish Ultralite 90% of the time either wading or more often now from the Yak. I take two ULs in the Yak ... 4lb and 6lb ... the 4lb for panfishing ... Bluegills, Calicos, Perch ... and Bass ... the ...

Frogs in the pads ! Crazy the last few weeks. Nice Bass and a battle and a half ! But then, I only use a light rod and 8 lb test max (usually 6 lb). Splat on the pads ... let it sit ... walk i ...

I've not fished there, but would like to dunk my Yak and try it. However, I have heard some comments about parking not being any to safe to leave your car. Any truth to that ... ?

Okay all ... what S E Mass and/or Cape waters can you identify that have a strong population of Crayfish ? Lakes or ponds primarily.
