when do the laker bite get hot again? i'm assuming with the cooler weather they should roam near the shore early morning or in the evening.

Look no further. The Merrimack River has some big cats. Use to catch plenty of them fishing for carp on doughballs as a kid.

Concord River between Bedford and Billerica. Launch in at Rt. 225 in Bedford. Every now and then you hear pike caught in the Merrimack which usually come from the Concord River.

Very weedy and shallow pond I think 6ft is the maximum depth. There's some big bass in there. Weedless rig!

Never caught any trout on it but I sure can't keep the sunfish off the hook. It is one of my go to lure on my ultra-lite set up for sunnies.
