I have not been carp fishing, But i have seen them in charlestown NH on the Connecticut river in the shallows. they were huge!!

Time to start preparing for the BIG walleyes in the Connecticut River as the ice goes out. good line and grease the reels! anyone else going in the spring???

did not get any big hits or fish today. Caught 2 bass and a perch all small. started out where the still river comes in (where i caught the fish) then moved over to where Quinaboag river comes in Noth ...

went again to wachusett, do not think i hit the Salmon running. Fished where the still river comes in, one bit. moved to the church nothing, no bits. laast shot was down Rt 70 again nothing.

spent a lot of time at Wachusett and only caught 1 perch, 1 pickerell and 1 small bass! any tips on this place?

What do Salmon hit for bait? they were jumping all around us as if to tease us! spinners, Jigs, lures and crawlers NOTHING!! any idea's

That is where i caught them in the 70's up river at the rail road tressle! caught many there. I do look forward to getting back there.

I have read in field and stream and sports afield in years gone by that there were walleye's in the oxbow Montague area of the Connecticut river. I had 30 year break from fishing so most of my memorie ...

I have only caught a few over the many years at the Barton Cove Launch then a few miles up river. The best luck I've had was southern Vermont on the Connecticut River caught some of good size and more ...

like I said i never caught one or seen one before! it did give a good fight! now only if i could catch a walleye in there!!!

I caught this fish in Fiskdale Ma at south pond. I am not sure what it is?? anyone know?[/img]

I wish there were walleye in the merrimac river! 40 years of fishing and the only place i ever caught walleye with in 1 1/2 hour travel was the Connecticut river. Nothing Like cathing walleyes.
