So I've looked just about everywhere i can think of that's official, even called fish and game and they didn't answer this question: Is there a size, weight, or amount limit for (fresh water) bluegill or sunfish?

I'd like to catch some for keeps and try cooking some of the larger ones but i do also want to follow the law, please anyone know the official laws/rules?

Like nostrikes said, no limit, etc. You'd certainly enjoy fishing for smallmouth bass. They are a great fight and great eating. Why not get best of both worlds?

As always tight lines,

This has your answer: https://www.mass.gov/guides/massachusetts-freshwater-fishing-regulations#-fishing-seasons-&-limits-

I've already bagged one 4.82 pound LMB and one 2.86 pound SMB in Plymouth waters this year... gonna be a good 2020.

Best of luck out there.
