I moved to Uxbridge and have started looking at areas to fish along the Blackstone River. What type of fish are around. I found some great ares for trout fishing, but are there any trout in the river? Also where is the best place for largemouth bass?

I know this is outdated but I'll post in case anyone asks in the future as well

They do not stock trout, but they stock many tributaries and you will see the occasional trout. If you want consistent trout in the Blackstone, head south across the border to Rhode Island, they stock trout in the Blackstone river in Lincoln and Cumberland. If you want to stay local, search out the West Hill Dam area and the West River, which is one of the tributaries and is stocked pretty heavily.

That is not to say that fly fishing the Blackstone is worthless, there are plenty of Bass(small and large mouth), Carp, Pike, Panfish, etc to make it very worthwhile.
