My first Yak

Finally gonna purchase my first kayak.Im looking at the ascend FST12.....anyone have any thoughts on this boat as a first time purchase.Price is important to me at this time...Im 6 foot 235 pounds....any suggestions?

Im not sure about that...Im sure one of the experienced guys on here can answer that for you.....Im not even considering that yet.

Yes, the FS12T is big enough for protected and inshore salt water. The further offshore you go or for bigger waves, you would want a larger yak. But plenty of guys fish the salt from yaks this size. Just watch the weather.
