So I have not salt water gear, no boat and no idea where to start. However, living in Plymouth, and having got the fishing bug, I feel like salt water would offer a huge new opportunity.

So I am wondering, aside from stripers, what else is good "game fish" to start with from shore? When I was young I recall my father catching alot of skate and sand sharks. I've caught fluke (from a friends boat) and that was a good time. I'm not looking for any trophys, just a good time.
Thanks!

one of my favorite fish to catch and also one of the hardest fighting fish pound for pound is the bluefish. Best part is these guys will hit any plug you throw at them. You occasionally can run into some large ones but even the medium/small ones are a blast to fight on the rod. also they taste great when smoked with some hickory wood. yum. best of luck
