Castle Island?

Went by castle island yesterday on a bike ride, during low tide (5:30p.m.), plenty of people fishing i am sure for either blues or stripers. My question is it worth to head over and set up a few rods?

I live a few blocks away and go down there after work on most days and there is always people fishing down there. Never seen anyone catching anything. Most people down there have a bucket and are just bottom fishing, not sure what they are using for bait maybe clams?

I've yet to wet a line, I have been meaning to do it.
