Whats goin on guys and gals. Been a slow season for me so far, but finally got some plates on the trailer. So took her out to Rico yesterday. Man sooooo much easier tossing it on the back. no more roof scratches lol. left it open for multi platform use too. Crawdad is almost ready for the water too

How does fishing from a canoe compare to fishing from a crawdad? Does the canoe draw less water, is it more maneuverable, easier to carry to the water when needed??

The canoe is 14ft long, and weighs in at 53lbs, pretty light and easy to toss on and off the trailer, and pretty simple for the roof. If need be i can toss it on my shoulders and easily bring it down a long trail to a body of water. Crawdad that isnt happening. I can stand cast hook and retrieve a fish from the canoe. If its anything of size that can get dicy lol. biggest issue i find is if the canoe starts to drift around you can only really fish out of at max 180degrees. i run the canoe with the factory font as the back so my seat is more toward thje middle for better balance for paddling etc. i also use a small seat and kayak paddle for WAY easier paddling. and have a small anchor set up on the back.

all in all i think they both have a place. i wouldnt take the canoe in big waters, it can be a pain to get to and from the area.as well as a BIG pain in winds lol
