awesome! I haven't got to fish smallies yet here in MA...

Nice smallies, did you bring or rent a boat? If you rented can you let us know what it costs? Hear it is reasonable for a day of fishing on one of the best fisheries in MA

Thanks
Ed

last year it was $30 for a boat with motor and a full tank of gas. boats were a good size with high sides and room for 3 guys comfortably. I think there was a 5$ parking fee also. definitely worth it, especially if you don't have a boat, or don't want to trailer one out there and have it specially cleaned.

its actually 40 for a full day which starts a 6am and 30 for half day which starts at 1230pm and if you want to rent a paddle boat its 10 for half day and 14 for full day

what types of baits did you catch em on? what depth?

we basicallly need them off there beds in 5-20 feet of water. we used topwater rapalas. spinnerbaits and got a few on a crankbait. and caught a few of off and a few of some plastics

Good stuff man,

Does that 40 bucks include the parking fee?

Which parking lot are the boat rentals at & how early should I get there before the boats are all rented?

ya theres a 6 dollar parking fee. and pretty early. i went during the week when less people would be out there. we fished til about 430 and there were still alot of boats not used. and they the only places you can rent them are gate 8, 31, 43.

yeah great time. one of the best places in MA. water is crystal clear with visibility of about 20 feet. i went a few weeks ago and we caught just about everything...trout, rock bass, LMB, smallies, and pickerel. i'll have to post that trip soon.

cjbross23 is spot on. $6 parking, $40 for a full day. you get about a 14' aluminum boat and a full tank of gas with a 10 HP kicker. i think i went to gate 2 which is on the eastern side.
