Hey guys, im new to the forum and I was just wondering what you define as "cartoppers"? Is it something that you have to carry by car, or can it be trailered? Is it electric motor only?

For the "cartopper" tournaments I'm putting together it is anything you can fit on your roof or in the back of a truck. No gas motors.

The maff cartoppers allow trailers but no gas.Probably why Dudley pond isn't on the list this year.No trailers in there after a certain date.Would be a great one for you Joe.

Anyone know if the cartopper tournaments are happening this year. I noticed the 2014 on the home page had tournaments starting in a matter of 2 weeks.

Nope. You will get a few pick up tournys here and there but no one wanted to put in for the permits and set a schedule

When I first started fishing with m.a.f.f.we didn't pull permits for toppers. If you guys are up to it we can do a couple.Nothing major,10 boats keeps you under the radar.Weigh on the water and there's no problem.Just a bunch of guys fishing.JUst make sure you have all you're safety equipment in case epo shows up.Life jackets, paddle, reg.bailer and anchor with rope.
