Hey guys, new here to the site and to massachussetes. I am a somewhat avid bowfisher man for carp and haven't really got a clear answer on if it is legal in mass or not, if so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It is legal, though it shouldn't be.

It is a wasteful practice, born of ignorance and hidden in grey areas.

It should be considered hunting and treated as such, with the same safety zone distances, seasons and stricter enforced wanton waste rules, limits and so on.

It is not fishing and should not be treated as such. You cannot snag a fish in this state, but you can shoot one with a bow..sure, that makes a ton of sense.

I have a bunch of other "thoughts" on the matter but I'll refrain as I have answered your question.
