First day out

Went out last week for the first time. Got to say putting the effort into cleaning an oiling my reels was worth it as always. They all still work like they were brand new. Anyway went to couple diffrent ponds. First one was new to me an looks very promising in the future but the wind was tough an blew Popo an I all over the place. Next we hit another pond that we have fished before. An glad to say I caught my first fish of the season. A bass lil under 2lbs but hey it was nice to have a bass be the first of many. Ended up landing a couple morr pickeral to end the day. Good start to what I hope is a great freahwater year.

Getting ready

Got my reels all soaked, clean an oiled. Gona pit new line on next week. Got to get restocked on my rubber bait an get some more trout lures. Its almost here. I always start the season with trout fishing and smallies. I love my smallies! Nothing better than hooking into a nice 4lbs+ smallie thats peeling line off your spool like a hot knife thru butter! An before I know it the Quabbin Res opens an i'm goin strong all season.
