Winchester Lake and Burr Pond with my bud Ron 10-8-09
This was a crazy day on the water, starting out choppy, get to a small cove, ron caught a bass with my tiger crank, i caught perch off my booya crank...tried another cove and the main channel for pike...no luck..went over to Burr Pond later in the afternoon...started getting hits with pickerel and perch..then GODZILLA pounds my pole, i knew I had some thing big but not this big..small tackle, so I let him run, 6 lb test soft action rod, on a senko...did not want to loose him, but evertime he would get close to the boat and net.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz so i took my time, took about 3-5 minutes to bring him in...best catch of the year...and on video too Posted at 11:01 AM

Smallies all day Went out with my dad 6:00 sharp on the lake, tried my new 565 hummingbird...man it was great, showed nice detail of structure , depth, and ding..dink...fish Tried working some new lures, line the red eyes shad...VD special, tried a nice shad rapala shad rap, and a jimmy houston sweet colorado green/red spinner...no stinming luck, went to my go to bait, the yamamotos...tried black and green...caught one around 7th on the east side, tree stumps, about half a mile from the lauch...caught the other 3 on the west side about 1.5 miles down, came back across the launch, hit 2-3 milfoils spots, caught the catch of the day...solid 3 pandar...16.5 inches...best catch of the season to be honest One thing, I realize...SMB are better fighers than LMB...dad got skunded, had two almost on the boat but no luck...

Sweet Black Pond Killed them today, caught 8 bass and 1 rainbow, with the green yamamotos with matt, very small between 1-2 lbs, 10-12 inches, had a blast, hot as hell, around 95 degrees, worked all sides of the banks.....saw a cool beaver swimming under its dam... Posted at 08:32 AM

Fish Finder Success I researched online for two weeks and I finally decided to go buy the Hummingbird 565 at Cabelas! Tough competitors like Garwin 140/160 and Eagle 320 almost had me sold.....but the Hummingbird 565 had way too many good reviews...The 525 & 535 were ok but not worth the $$$$, better off spending a little more....Its absolutely beautiful and clear...cost $179 but no screen cover.. arrrrrr,...so I bought a Cebelas brand, should have come with the box....WARNING for all you Fish Finder users, DO NOT USE WINDEX TO CLEAN YOUR LCD's, IT WILL DAMAGE IT....USE SOAP AND WATER.... I wanted to go color but the reviews were for more $$$. Overall I will be staying up late and playing with all the gadgets.... .. Posted at 04:24 PM

Rain & Wind At Morey Tough conditions at Morey pond yesterday. Started early at 6, ran the shallows with green and black Yamamotos...moved more around the other side of the lake through the tunnel, worked some spinners and cranks...no hits just yet, went back to black sinkos at 6-8 feet, Nailed 2 for the day...I was happy...with the rain, wind, and working my trolling motor...it was a plus day Posted at 01:25 AM

Bigelow Blues I went to Bigelow Pond for my firts time yesterday, took my 12ft boat, hooked the trolling motor and off I went with my bud Matt...started off right at 6:00am on the lake...started with some worms, then spinners, then, cranks, then deep divers.....man...i could not buy a fish here....i know it was a sign from "The Fish Gods"....saying...you must learn to use the fishforce....oh well...my force was crap.
