Made plans to go out Bass Fishing with family after breakfast on Saturday. Arrived at Lake Chauncy in Westboro at 10:30am. Me, my son, Mitch and his girlfriend Erin set off to our old hot spot, the weedline where there are patches of weeds 5-8ft deep. The weeds are just about touching the surface of the water. A school of bait fish were swimming in the weeds boiling the water. It was like we hit the lottery! Mitch and Erin were at the front of the boat. I was 3rd mate in the back. They were hitting them with Sencos and I was net boy for the larger fish for awhile! We just kept going back and forth along the weedline, catching fish. After a short time I threw a jig. First cast caught my largest bass of the day. Spent the next few hours in hawg heaven - a day we won't soon forget. Never did fish the rest of the lake-too busy in our spot. Left around 1pm, broken ankle was telling me it was time to go. A perfect day!
