Year So far So I have not been diligent about postin on here at all. Life has been real busy and I have not done nearly the fishing I wanted to this year. All that aside I have not had the best year fishing. Nothing over 5.5 this year. The rain has really affected the bite at my locations that I frequent. The fish I have caught have been full of bugs, with all the rain the water level has stayed high allowing the fish to feed in the shallows and eat all they want. I am hoping for a far more productive fall in chase of that 10 lbr. I will find it. I have had some fun trips with close friends, some bass and some smallmouth. Looking forward to some more trips before the big bad winter comes. I did have great luck early spring with my green jigs and baby bass colored senkos thrown wacky. Other than that the grey mouse proves to be a consistant lure. I have had hardly any luck throwing a jitterbug all year, maybe 4 fish. Weird year. Posted at 12:03 PM

Spring / Early Summer 2012 It's been a great start to the year. I would estimate my total catch and release count to date at about 140 fish. Saw some great early spring pre-spawn action. With the abnormally warm spring, many of my secret holes pre spawn was cut short. I missed the window for many of my cows. Lots of great top water action though so I was a happy man. Most of the fish were those fiesty males. The few girls I pulled out were still a little loagie. Biggest to date was a just a 5 lbr. Great night last night though with Justin from Smoke City. Prvate fishing hole about 5:45 pm last night, first cast into the lilly pads from the boat, SMASH, Justin hooks a 5.2 pound fish!!! Beauty. We fished about 3 hours, probably about 30 fish in total. I had a tough night losing 2 lures. One on a poor cast and one that got hooked in a monster and snapped my 30 lb braid. Funny story becuase last year, same spot, close to the same location something snapped the same spro frog and the same line. Looks like Im going to piano wire for that frong!! LMFAO.
