fishin with my son

i took my son damian fishin a couple of weeks ago. he loved it which was very cool but it was a nightmare for me because i was nervous the whole time of him falling into the water. i dont know if it was a good choice or not to take him but he loved it so i was happy... but nervous! at 2 and a half years old, a childs balance isnt so good, so im thinking i just might hold off a little longer before i take him again. soon enough i guess! during this excursion i had caught a pickeral so my sons says to me, " dad, can i pet him?". i laughed my butt off and told him yes. so he did. it was very cool! i got a pic of him holding the fish so ill try to find it and post it.

connecticut river trip

this will be short, i fished the connecticut river for my first time  yesterday...7/05/08..  and learned you need to fish it with real crawlers or real shiners! anyhow, i caught nothin but wet feet!!! I seen them surfacing in pools off the main body but wouldnt hit anything  i gave 'em for the life of me! I still had a great time and now know better for the next time i fish it which will hopefully be next weekend. I hope to catch a striper out of there! That is my goal for the river. I will also say this, having a boat would also be in my favor!!!!!!!!!
