| Koi carp. Just a genetic variation on common carp. A 24 lb koi was caught in Jamaica Pond in Boston in 2004 that was a record at the time. |

Very nice fish..I'm guessing it is a koi but maybe on of those smaller variety that someone released. You know the ones that will not grow like "true" koi do? I only say that because the body shape seems to be limiting how big it would get overall...definitely different then a goldfish though. Awesome catch as well..always neat to get something like that out of the blue!
