Watch out for scams. I've been looking for a boat for a month or so and have come across far too many of those "Too good to be true" deals! So far I've had a widowed wife, a suddenly deployed military guy, a nurse who got a job on a cruise ship and a person offered a job overseas. All four of them lived in Missouri. All four of them had buyers in MA who supposedly backed out of a previous sale. All four of them said shipping was already paid for and they couldn't be refunded their money, so their loss was my gain and all four said EBAY was completing the sale, was already in possession of the boat and was providing up to $20,000 in insurance coverage for the entire transaction. All that was left to do was to pay through EBAY and to enjoy the boat upon delivery. I've already notified EBAY with the email addresses used that I had. Just be careful and good luck! People suck and can be scumbags!

I would never shop for a boat on e-bay.Too much risk.

That's just it Ken. All 4 ads were on Craigslist, but said payment and delivery would be through EBAY. Total scam!

At least on here you can go look then decide .. Purchased mine through craigslist ,knew exactly what I was getting

Buy local through Craigslist and be patient.

I bought mine a couple years ago and the seller just bought a bigger boat. The price was a near steal, so we both walked away happy. The problem now is thinking of selling only to buy a bigger boat - which is always an issue, so I hear.
