got a new rod got my license now what...?

basically wondering if there is any open water out there? any tips for a newbie fisherman. I live in Somerville but willing to drive.

Most likely nothing that can be accessed. Give it a few weeks read up on some different techniques. Cape Cod should be open in march

Last weekend there was allot of open water in boston and I was able to snag a trout out of Jamaica pond, you could try there.
