Took the boat out for the first time this season on the 9th ,nice to be on the water sun shining but arrived at the ramp to realize I had left the keys for the boat home...lol so back home to retrieve the keys and then back to the lake, so a little later start then anticipated. Let the motor warm up real good after the long hibernation and made sure everything was functioning like it's suppose to bilge, livewell pumps and so on turned on the HDS's everything good and running motor warmed and threw down the hammer I love the rush when the bow comes up a little before she planes out and away we go ,the old girl ran right up to 5500rpms and a speed of 59.6 not too shabby for a 31yr 150hp motor ,old 2 strokes you have to run them like you stole it...lol fished a couple spotsfor a few hours and put the Talon down in a good looking area throwing a jerkbait and then a slow moving presentation nothing.Picked up a chatterbait firecraw 1st cast got a solid 3 lber and then a couple more in the same area so not too shabby for the first time out. There needs to be an app that knows you're going fishing and reminds you to make sure you have your boat keys with you.

Sounds like a great first day out. Officially spring in a few days. Only getting nicer from here on out.
