I am finally implementing a rule change that I've wanted to see since the Lake Shirley event last year. I am setting a minimum size limit of 1 lb for a fish to be considered at weigh-in. The reason for this change is to make it easier on tournament organizers and judges to determine eligibility. By setting a minimum weight of 1 lb, it is virtually assured that a fish will be legal.

This is not, I repeat NOT, about anyone having bent or broken the rules. We have a great group of guys that always show a lot of class and integrity at our tournaments. But with all of the dinks caught at Dudley yesterday it just brought this issue back to the front of my brain and I wanted to act on it before I forgot again.

I support this. Good call!

I think it's a good idea and am in support of this proposal.

I agree John - although I benefited from a keeper that weighed 15 ounces at Dudley, it is safe bet that a 1lb bass is at least 12" and makes it easier for the TD!

If you get another 15 ouncer just dip it in the water and reweigh it Very Happy
