need help finding carp

Hello I just moved to Haverhill mass and looking for a good carp fishing spot in the city can anybody give me any info im just off of rt 97 I see the river just don't know where to start and does it matter what tide I fish for them

I would think closer to Slack Tide, it will allow the bait to stay on the bottom alot better, We fish the Ct River for Carp and Cats. The river finally went back up, and any place you can duck into around any point or branch of the river would be the best bet. We Usually fish the Merrimack for Stripers. Great Luck to ya!!
