Just moved from southeast Florida to North Shore Mass.

Going to Salisbury Beach for the 4th but don’t have a clue where to go -type of bait/tackle to use. Should I fish the marsh or surf? Dawn or Dusk - Tides?

Have wide range of equipment salt/fresh - sold boat in Florida so I will be fishing from land.
Just want to catch fish don’t care what type/size. I will have my daughter with me who has been itching to go - so would like to nab a couple.

This is a great site and thank you for your input/advice

Welcome to MA (or back to MA if thats the case). I don't know your area at all, so I can't help you there. I do know that a lot of the stripers are leaving bays and rivers and heading to deeper water as the temps rise, but I'm sure you still will have some luck at dawn/dusk or night (which I'm sure is not ideal for your daughter). Just work the tides like you probably did in FL and you will be into fish I'm sure. Live eels or mack if you want bait, but any type of striper plug should work as well. Other guys I'm sure can fill in some more details for you.
