I am really missing the bass & blue saltwater fishing with all this talk about it! Used to go all the time and have caught some real beasts! Kman caught probably the biggest bluefish I've ever seen in my life in Beverly off of Independence Beach! Very good times!

So come do some striper fishing!!!

If you want to catch mackeral use a Sibiki Rigs with a heavy spoon 1/2 or larger depending on the current to keep the rig straight down. Just drop to bottom and jig to surface slowly. Once you catch one you know what depth to jig. You should be able to catch 3 to 6 each drop. Hopefully fill the livewell fast, use some for chum if you catch a lot of bait.

(mackeral, pollack, herring they all will hit a Sibiki Rig)...

early in the season you can get them near harbors. if seen em on the surface at sun down.
when blues show up good luck getting macks.

pollacks will still be around, just gota find them.

as the water warms the macks head out deeper.
for pollacks look for deep humps and rocks.

i use at least a 2oz jig on the sibiki, i catch cod on the spoons.

sometimes stripers and blues
