If you guys wouldn't mind sharing with me I was wondering what kind of plugs or lures have been most effective so far this season for you guys striper fishing. I haven't been in awhile and was looking to go do some tomorrow and see what I can come up with. Thanks guys

Are you fishing from shore or boat. Trolling I use tube and worm. Lures it depends on what bait is around. Fishing from shore or jetty I try and catch bait fish with a Sibiki Rig or Poggy Hook if Poggy;s are around. Use the fish I catch for live bait or chunk bait . I always have at least one other rod to toss lures Crippled Herring, Kastmaster, or topwater poppers. Try to match the baitfish with color and size of lure...

Good luck...

in my area theres alot of juvy herring. so ive been using 1-2 oz crippled herring. topwaters.

tube and worm is one of my top tricks for stripers. i always catch em on it.

mackerel colored plugs work. MACKS ARE STRIPER CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!
macks to a striper is like a cupcake to a fat kid. IRRESISTABLE!!!!!

check the bait in your area. if your fishing a harbor/river mouth your gona be dealing with snapper blues, juvy herring. so bait will be small

ocean front your dealing with mackerel and small pollack.
