Hi all,

New to the boards and if I'm starting an ill fitting thread I apologize in advance. At any rate this past weekend (may 15th) I spent some time fishing the Charles (near the Watertown bridge) for Striper. I learned a 2 things:
1.) It's illegal to catch and use herring as bait even though they are running bigtime right now. Apparently the reserves are low.
2.) They weren't hitting the herring.

Does anyone have any experience fishing the river for Stripers and when are the typical times they actually head up the charles and what non-live/legal bait they are eating.

Thanks for reading and yor patience. I've got some good experiences to share with the board and look forward to exploring!

James
