Got myself some new toys this past week, picked up a River2Sea S-Waver in perch colors, FINALLY Got my hands on the Mikey Shaw Slammer, 7 inch; and a Got Em' Coach Tackle Company Real Gillz Bluegill. I am going to California in May to Clear Lake for a fishing trip, so Ive been buying some bigger baits lately, mostly swimbaits. But I am definitely confident that I'll be able to land fish around here with these bad boys as well. Especially the slammer.

Good luck! Do you have a stout set up that can handle those baits?

Are you going on a guide trip at Clear Lake? If so the guide will probably have everything you will need. If not, you'll need some hudds or anything that looks like a Hitch. I heard staying at the Casino is pretty nice, its right on the lake.

I sure do, Don! I just bought a G Loomis Temple Fork 8' and a 7'11 iRod Genesis 2, with a Lew's Speed Spool Tourney reel and a Shimano Calcutta reel.

Yea I've got a couple of Hudd's, and some Mattlure's swimbaits too, couple of Hitch looks, some regular rainbow pattern trout ones and holdover patterns, but yes I am doing a guided tour. Also renting a bass boat down there to do my own thing for a few days too, we're staying at the Clear Lake Cottages & Marina.
