I use 6# Pline fluoroclear. It's not mono but it's great on my spinning reel.

As far as regular old mono goes, I find nothing wrong with Trilene XL. Been using it for years!

Mono Trilene XL, Floro Berkeley Vanish 6 pound is my fav (price performance balance).

It depends on what application. Do you use it on SP or BC setup? Do you want heavy or lighter line? All in all, Big Game will give you the best bang for the buck. Big Game has 8 LB too, you don't see it in stores. Besides a little more stretch, it never break off on me. It can take a lot abuse.

Never heard of it. Don't understand why you wouldn't go with a proven name brand? Rolling Eyes

Great line. I used to use it when I fished saltwater 25 years ago.

I prefer Yozuri Hybrid on my baitcasters. The stuff is tough as nails.
Trilene xl works well for me in 6 and 8 lb test for a spinning reel.

Hands down the best all-around line for me. Its hybrid flouro/mono. Its a smaller size diameter than any line I know of. For instance, their 8lb diameter is equivalent to most other lines 6lb diameter. I use their 6lb on most of my finesse spinning applications. Its very smooth and supple. Easy to handle. Doesn't have the memory of flouro. I've caught a lot of big fish on that 6lb line, including that big pike in my profile photos. Expensive and hard to find, but worth it.
