Where are all the big brook trout they used to stalk?

Is there a place where you can catch brook trout over 10 inches regularly. I grew up in Barre Mass and could count on 12-16 inch brookies being stocked every year in the Prince River. Now they only stock the average small ones.

I caught alot of nice brookies up in the mountains in Wyoming, but that's quite a drive...
